The mission of Numen Behavioral Health is to provide compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment through individualized, trauma-informed, and person-centered care that promotes lasting recovery, emotional wellness, and meaningful personal growth.
We are committed to delivering clinical excellence within a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where every individual is treated with dignity, compassion, and accountability. Through collaborative treatment planning, ethical practice, and evidence-based interventions, we empower clients to build healthier relationships, strengthen resilience, develop practical coping skills, and create sustainable lifestyles that support long-term recovery and overall well-being.
We believe recovery extends beyond abstinence alone. Recovery involves healing the whole person by addressing emotional, psychological, behavioral, physical, social, and environmental factors that contribute to overall health. Our mission is to help every client rediscover purpose, cultivate self-worth, restore hope, and achieve greater independence while improving quality of life.
These values guide every interaction with clients, families, referral partners, employees, and the communities we serve.

Numen Behavioral Health believes that substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and co-occurring conditions are chronic but highly treatable health conditions requiring individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based care. Every individual enters treatment with unique experiences, strengths, challenges, values, and recovery goals. Treatment should be tailored to the individual rather than expecting people to conform to a single treatment model.
Our philosophy emphasizes treating the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms, diagnoses, or substance use behaviors. Recovery is strengthened through therapeutic relationships, meaningful connection, accountability, skill development, structure, hope, and active participation in treatment. Lasting change occurs when clients are empowered to understand themselves, build resilience, and develop practical strategies for managing life's challenges.
Clients are viewed as active participants in their own recovery rather than passive recipients of services. Treatment planning is conducted collaboratively, recognizing that clients possess valuable strengths, insight, and lived experiences that contribute to successful outcomes.
We embrace a trauma-informed approach that recognizes the widespread impact of trauma and prioritizes physical safety, emotional safety, trustworthiness, collaboration, empowerment, and respect throughout every stage of treatment.
We are committed to culturally responsive and inclusive services that honor each client's cultural background, language, ethnicity, race, religion, spirituality, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability status, socioeconomic background, and lived experiences. Equitable, respectful, and individualized care promotes stronger therapeutic relationships and improved treatment outcomes.
